Bean Town

Well we've finally gotten home and settled back in after a whirlwind month of being gone nonstop. Last weekend we enjoyed 5 days in Hartford and Boston...just Aaron and I. We had a lot of fun, learned a ton (Aaron is the king of taking tours...I think we took 4 or 5 tours in Boston!), shopped and ate delicious meals.
This is at the end of a tour, with the funny, but kind of creepy, costumed tour guide.
We took a Duck Tour....and after all the hoopla about quacking all the time, we only did it once....and it was to another duck tour bus!! Sad.
We went on a TV & Movie tour and stopped at a lot of places where things have been filmed in Boston. I thought it was kinda boring, but Aaron loved it, and even participated in the trivia game throughout the tour. What a dork. He ASKED me to take his picture with his winning "movie bucks" at the end. He came in 3rd place and was highly disappointed. He analyzed the trivia game for about 15 minutes after the tour was done.
Standing on the spot where the Boston Massacre took place.
As if we weren't "cheesey tourist" enough already...we stopped for a beer in the Cheers bar. The bar was tacky but the beer was GREAT!!!!
We stopped at the little statues depicting the characters from the children's book Make Way For Ducklings, so we had to take a "we wish Emory was here!" picture. She would have loved them.
Red Sox game at Fenway. The Sox lost but Aaron was still happy the Indians won since on of his Baylor Bears now plays for them.

Such a fun trip, but we are looking forward to being home for a while!
