So far behind...

We've been super busy for the past month or so and the blog has been pretty low on the priority list. Aaron and I leave first thing in the morning to fly to Connecticut for a Baylor football game and then we're heading to Boston for a few days for a fun getaway. Emory has already gone to my parents' house since we leave so early and she'll be there for SIX nights!!! I am already missing her terribly, so as I sit at the computer looking at pictures of her, I figure I can at least be productive and blog at the same time. :)

After so much worrying that Emory would need some kind of special therapy to learn to walk, she suddenly began standing on her own a few weeks ago. She especially loves to stand and talk to her horsey (the one that I just HAD to have while I was pregnant with her and probably paid too much for, but it's definitely one of her favorite things to play with, so it's worth it!).

About a week after she got a handle on standing she took her first steps! She still crawls a lot, but I've counted 11 steps at once, so I think I can finally stop worrying!
My favorite picture...She was standing and began to fall backward and made this hilarious face while she tried to stay up.
Last Christmas Santa brought her the cutest little Pottery Barn chair that's just her size. She's been climbing on it and playing around it for a while, but recently she's started sitting in it to watch tv or read a book. It's really cute, especially when she's tired and totally "lounges" in it.
We're anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Granger so we helped make sure Erin was prepared for the big day. Chollet and I hosted a shower a couple of weekends ago, and I thought I'd post some pictures since Baby Granger's mommy is pretty bad about updating her blog as well! :)
Beth and Molly enjoying some bellinis...

The precious baby blanket Chollet made...if only it were Garnet & Black!!

Last weekend we flew out to Missouri to attend the wedding of one of Aaron's college friends. We stayed with Mike and Amy who's little boy, Carter, is only a month older than Emory. It was fun to watch them play together (mostly Emory just crawled around after him) and to visit with some friends we don't see often.
The kiddos spent most of their time crawling up and down the stairs.
Carter looking super cute in his Baylor hoodie.
Mike and Amy have the best jobs EVER!! They run Mike's family's business...The Candy Factory. When Aaron and I were in Missouri for Mike and Amy's wedding (4 years ago) we got to tour The Candy Factory and watch them make chocolate covered strawberries for the reception. This time we actually got to help make them! Seriously one of the most fun things I could have chosen to do. Emory also enjoyed getting a little taste of the chocolate covered strawberries.

Stemming the strawberries...
The groom is "marking" the strawberries...this part was actually really hard!
Emory got to pick her very own to taste test.
She obviously enjoyed it...and she doesn't usually have a double chin...:)
