Visiting Santa didn't go quite as well as I expected. Thank goodness we just happened upon him on our visit to the Holiday Market, because if we had waited in a crazy long line with the crazy people at the mall, I would have been so mad that Emory reacted like this...
She actually climbed up into my arms (on her own) as I was apologizing to Santa for her behavior...
Of course, I got all the credit (and the to-die-for "thank you" grin) for giving her the candy cane. Sorry Santa.
You would have thought she'd died and gone to Candy Heaven when she got to, not only eat, but hold the candy cane. (I'm becoming such a softie.)

And she was so nice as to share her candy cane with sweet Callie. (If you had been at their last get together, you would be surprised at this extreme act of generosity.)
