When life gives you lemons...

...make lemonade ladybugs.
Lemon: This week Baby Boy came down with a mean case of an upper respiratory virus. He has been demanding to be held 24 hours a day, which is rather inconvenient, but I can't say no to his sad little brown eyes right now. As of today he is finally starting to feel better. Hopefully he'll be back to his healthy self in no time.
Lemon: A pipe in our upstairs bathroom has a leak. I now have a hole in my kitchen ceiling where they cut through to fix the leak. For some reason the guys that come and tear holes in your home are never the ones that know how to fix them. So until the ceiling-fixer-man gets around to coming by, I am living with the fear of scary things falling from the ceiling into my food.
Lemon: The software on my work computer decided to stop working. All of the important files-gone. All accounting records-gone. All class rosters-gone. After a few days of absolutely freaking out, figuring out how I was going to re-enter six months of information, the files were miraculously restored by our computer guru. Thank the good Lord. For real.
LemonadeLadybugs: Emory's class valentines. So easy and so cute. I found the idea online and thought they'd be fun for Emory to make. Need a valentine treat? There's still time to throw these together!!
I cut out red circles. Emory glued six black dots (I used a large circle punch) to each red circle.
After printing out the message on white paper, I cut those into circles (same size as the red ones).
We cut the red circle in half and secured it to the white circle with two brads.
We covered lollipops with black tulle (the tutorial called for tissue paper, but I was using what I had already.), added two eyes and taped it to the back of the white circle.

I think they turned out so cute, and Emory can't wait to take them to her class party!

And I leave you with a picture of my little cowgirl.

My little ballerina cowgirl.

The one that says "Haha" instead of "Yeehaw" when she puts on her cowgirl boots.

I saw this idea the other day and yours are way cuter! Maybe we can make playhouses on sewing day :)
