{I know. I’ve stunk at blogging lately. Life these days is clearly not all rainbows and unicorns and ‘free time’. It’s more like stinky diapers, soccer games and morning sickness. Hooray for those moms that can do it all, but I can’t. Sorry. I’m accepting my flaws and moving on. So enjoy the random posts as you get ‘em, because you and I both know they won’t be steady.}
We headed to the beach for Easter, as we do each year. The two big kids were excited beyond belief, to the point that Watson wore his ‘baving suit’ off and on for the about a month prior. We had a gorgeous few days on the beach and enjoyed hanging out with the whole family.
Easter morning, bright and early, the kids were up and ready to check out what the Easter Bunny brought. Unfortunately we had a house of sleeping adults, so we held them off for a little while with some cartoons.
After being given the ‘okay’, the big kids alerted the troops to the fact that the Easter Bunny ‘probly bringed me some toys and candy!’ and headed into the den.
And they were right. That Bunny did indeed bring them some goodies. Emory first spotted the Barbie doll she has been wanting ‘for my whoooooole life, mommy!’ and Watson found a car, his current obsession.
The Easter Bunny must have anticipated restless kids for Easter Mass and brought all three their own pack of crayons and a coloring book.Boland went first for his…can you guess???…goldfish!
We had a few microphones, sand toys…
sunglasses {and Watson, the ‘gashes’-lover, got three new pairs!}…
a set of colored, braided hair clips…
and the traditional chocolate bunnies of course! {Which the kids always rip open right away, eat two bites, and then throw them away. One day that dufus of an Easter Bunny is gonna realize it’s a waste to buy Dove and go for the cheap-o brand.}
The kids loved all of their Easter treats and were excited to have some toys to play with, since Mommy totally neglected to bring any to the beach.
It was a fun morning, yet just the beginning of our Easter day!
