Back at the Beach

Because of Emory's VERY bald head, she has to have on a hat almost the whole time we're out in the sun (even with a head slathered in sunscreen!). I think it looks kind of ridiculous and it's almost impossible to get a picture of her face because the hat is too floppy. I caught a quick glimpse of her face with the camera this weekend and thought it was too cute, especially when converted to black and white. Notice all of the sand on her mouth...
We headed back to the beach last weekend and this time Olin got to join in on the fun! Olin is my cousin's son (I think that would make he and Em 2nd cousins....not sure) who is 6 weeks older then Em. It's been fun talking and comparing "baby stats" with Brian and Cat (Olin's daddy and mommy), and while Olin and Emory have hung out a handful of times, this was the first time that they were old enough to actually play together. They had a great time on the beach and this weekend the water was a little warmer so they could splash in the surf for a while. It was so cute to listen to them having full conversations with each other in their own little language...it seemed as if they really understood what the other was saying! We hated to leave Mr. Olin on Sunday, but we look forward to seeing him in six short weeks when we head to Omaha with them!
