Em's First Haircut...Finally!

I have to say...I had a hard time getting up the nerve to cut Emory's hair for the first time. Yes, she had a raging mullet and, no, she couldn't grow hair in the "sideburn" area, so I was fully aware that she looked a little like one of those kids that doesn't wear shoes to Wal-Mart. BUT it was the precious hair that we had hoped would grow for so long and it killed me to cut it. I figured the time had come, however, when I was only taking pictures of her from certain angles, as to not showcase the mullet. So I reluctantly took her to Miss Kelly and asked for a "little trim" which turned out to be a good inch of mullet and a lot of evening out on top. We threw her in a booster seat, gave her a pack of fruit snacks, and about 6 minutes later she looked like a new kid! I never realized what a cute neck she had! After a couple of days of getting used to the new look, I've come to love her haircut...and we haven't had any mullet comments since! Yay!
