Buckets full of potting mix, now time for the seeds. She kinda "blessed" them with her stick, as I was putting the seeds in.
Oh the fun part-watering. I think the rosemary may have gotten about 3/4 of the water, while the basil and oregano had to share the last quarter. So it will be interesting to see if these amount to anything edible.
And then we filled back up and went to town on the deck!
And her feet! Side note: I've never been a big fan of Crocs, but we bought a couple pair to use as our beach/outside/sandbox/softball field/etc shoes and they are wonderful! No matter how dirty they get, just rinse and hang dry! And she can put them on herself...icing on the cake!
We then moved on to the side walk chalk. We've been working on both counting and colors lately, so drawing with chalk became a long, drawn out conversation (on her part!) before she even began to color.
Amazingly enough, the cheap Walmart box of chalk worked beautifully, even on the wet deck!
By this time it was getting pretty warm outside, but we ventured into the world of play doh.
(We cut her nails before her nap, don't worry. And before that we cleaned them in the tub.)
I was trying to help her make a smiley face...
But she kept adding more eyes and noses and "moufs", so this is her creation, other than the smile.
Covered in chalk, potting soil, playdoh and sweat, we headed in for a quick snack of "ogur" (yogurt) and then a good washin'. After her bath she watched Beauty and the Beast while I...wait for it...cleaned (from top to bottom) our bathroom, Emory's bathroom and Emory's bedroom. I would hope the bathroom floors have been cleaned since we moved here 3 years ago, but I can't recall, which leads me to believe this might have been a much overdue scrubbin'. After I had inhaled enough cleaning product and Emory's movie was over, we played in her room. Building with her blocks (which always includes trying to eat the ice cream cone that the little plastic boy is holding AND making the boy and girl kiss. One too many Disney movies if you ask me.) Then we read some books. And by books, I mean approximately every. single. book. she. owns. I pretty much lost my voice. But it was worth it.
