Well hello world. It’s only been about ten months since I’ve added anything to the blog. whoops! I’ve made it my goal to get better about organizing my pictures. I quickly put a book together with our pictures from our recent trip to Texas, and the kids have flipped through it 84,000 times {as have I}, and it has reminded me of how important {and fun!} it is to make good use of the pictures I take. I’m so behind on the blog that it’s a little overwhelming, but I figured a quick InstaFriday might be the best way to get the ball rolling!
This week has been the first of the entire summer that we have had nothing planned. No camps, no trips, no appointments. It was marvelous!
I’ve spent 95% of the week trying to keep my boys fed and full. I hear But I’m still hungry! every 15 minutes. And they’re not even teenagers yet!! Lord help me…Emory got four new Lego Friend sets for her birthday and has built and played nonstop ever since.

We headed to the pool three mornings this week, and had a blast. Tuesday was the first time I attempted to take all four kids to the pool myself. It was surprisingly not too bad. Everyone was jolly, no one drowned, and only one child got more sun than they should have. Success in my book! {although I was already drinking an adult beverage when Aaron walked in from work…}
The oldest two are constantly jumping and diving and swimming…
The youngest two stick close to the steps…
Thankfully our sweet babysitter joined us one day for some extra help…
Not having anywhere to be first thing in the morning allowed us some extra snuggles in the bed and some cartoons…
We’re heading back to Disney World with the oldest three kids, and although Aaron and I are taking some trips without the kids this fall, we both agreed we were just as excited to go back to Disney. Our trip with Emory two years ago is definitely on our list of favorites and we can’t wait to take the boys!
Emory only has a couple more years before she won’t be able to outsmart her brothers anymore. While they were putting change in their piggy banks, I overheard her say okay boys. I’ll take the quarters. Don’t y’all want all the pennies? They’re gold! One day very soon they’re gonna catch on!
Here’s to hoping a little Insta-Friday will get me back into the blogging swing!!
