Hanging Out

The week between Christmas and New Years was filled with lots of cleaning and organizing {me}, watching football {Aaron} and playing with new toys {the kids. lucky ducks.}.
Baby Boy enjoyed sitting with us at the table in his new highchair. Big Sister gave him a toy for his highchair for Christmas, as did Santa, and he's loved them both. He's such a smiley boy, but very often you'll find him making this face.
No. He's not surprised. He just has really, really big eyes.
He also tried out his new Johnny Jump Up. I thought he would just kinda sit in it for the first little while, but right away he began bouncing and has entertained himself a good bit in it.

He's also napped in it a couple of times while I've been tossing old toys and organizing new ones.{And lest you think I'm a neglectful mother, I will assure you his neck is fully supported.}
Baby Girl was absolutely in love with each and every gift she got for Christmas.
So much so, she holed herself up in her room for about four days straight to play with them.
No meals. No naps. Just playing with toys.
I did catch a quick glimpse of her with my camera one afternoon before we were heading to dinner at a friends' house.
She must have finally gotten hungry after four days because she was chowing down on some raisins...
And had fully dressed herself...
The double bow and bedroom slippers must be all the rage in the preschools these days.
I feel like I don't have much to blog about as we've decided to try and keep our schedules fairly clear for the first of the new year. We're doing a lot of lounging around, having breakfast for dinner, trying to potty train {again}, sewing and playing with Christmas loot. I'm sure that we'll get a little stir crazy without having many plans, but for now I'm enjoying a little breather after the holidays!

I agree...kids (and husbands for the most part) are the lucky ducks! I feel like all I do is clean and organize. We missed you guys during the holidays and can't wait to see you again :o) Hopefully the girls will be willing to share their new toys!
