It’s funny how similar taking a decent family picture is to being a mom.
Each picture in itself is far from perfect. Someone’s eyes are closed. Someone’s looking the wrong direction. Someone’s arms look terribly fat!!
But there is always a little something in each one that makes me smile. Something that makes it a keeper.
Being a mother of two little ones has been anything but easy.
Nothing is ever perfect. My house is never clean. The laundry is never finished. And my kids aren’t always on their best behavior.
But in each imperfect moment I can find a reason {or many!} to love being a mother.
The babies {and their daddy} treated me to lots of surprises for Mother’s Day. A fun “Mommy’s Day Out” {complete with breakfast, a pedicure and a shopping spree!} is awaiting me after Recital is over, but the most priceless gift was the excitement Baby Girl had each time she told me “Happy Mudder’s Day, Mommy!”.
We celebrated Mimi with a delicous lunch after church. And after naps, we celebrated Grandmama with a yummy dinner.
What a wonderful day to feel extra special and relieved of the mundane motherly duties! If only it weren’t another 364 days until we celebrate Mommies again!!

Love it! My favorite part was definitely the "Happy Mudder's Day!" too :o) The Zac Brown Band tickets didn't hurt either... Happy Belated Mother's Day to one of my favorite Mommies :o) Love you!!
