Five Years and Counting!

This time five years ago I was sipping champagne…watson079 getting dressed for my Big Day.watson217 Today Aaron and I celebrate five years of marriage. watson141a It’s hard to believe we’ve traded romantic dinners for preschool Parents’ Nights.

And traded weekend getaways for staying home to tote our children to their friends’ birthday parties.

I swapped my designer purses for a big ‘ole diaper bag, and Aaron’s golf clubs got booted out of his car to make room for multiple carseats.

We won’t lie and say we don’t sometimes reminisce of the days when it was just us and we were responsible for no one else. But just as we are remembering those “simpler” days, we are interrupted by a “Mommy! I can’t do dis by myself!” or some unrecognizable chatter from Baby Boy as he wakes up from his nap, and we know, without a doubt, we wouldn’t trade back for the world!

Thank you to my sweet husband for sticking by me for a whole five years!! Here’s to many more!

{And to not being pregnant on our sixth anniversary so that we can actually celebrate!}

I love you!

{And to you and I, Kel…Happy NINE years! :) Our friends may be laughing at our mommyness now, but in a handful of years, when they’re big and pregnant, or having to rush home to nurse, or can’t do lunch because their little ones are napping, just think how much fun we’ll be having out on the town!! Love you!!}
