We pulled into the driveway after school and I noticed a package at our backdoor.
My first thoughts were, “Oh! I need to get that in the house, opened and put away. I can’t forget to put the packaging in the outside trash so that Aaron doesn’t come home and ask what I ordered!”
Then I remembered I hadn’t ordered anything lately.
To Baby Girl’s surprise, it was a package for her!And on the back was a little note that guaranteed she would love the contents, before we even knew what was inside!
I had a feeling whatever was inside would keep Emory busy and she wouldn’t want to sleep, so I told her she could open it only if she took a good nap. When she woke up, she could hardly contain her excitement! {Or her crazy hair.}
And she was immediately in love with her set of wooden doughnuts with changeable icing tops!
{I too was in love with the 45 minutes it gave me to make dinner in peace.}
Thank you, Aunt Rhonda, for the kind gift! You never cease to surprise us with thoughtful treats, and this time was no exception! Even Baby Boy has enjoyed the doughnuts!
{In case you were wondering, I didn’t take the package to the outside trash, and Aaron did come home and question what I had ordered when he saw it. :) }
