The Bears played the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens this weekend and Aaron and I {and Boland} made the trip for the first two games of the series. Emory and Watson enjoyed some play time with Mimi, Papa and Aunt Alison, which made for a relaxing trip for us! Daddy and Boland were dressed in their game day gear and Watson just so happened to be wearing his green shirt, so I had to grab a picture of my Baylor Boys before we headed out.
We made it to Athens just in time for the Friday night game. The Bears won and we grabbed dinner at Clocked. If you’re ever in Athens, definitely try it. It’s BYOB, so stop by the bar next door and you can buy beer to-go and take it in the restaurant. The burgers are great {and very unique}, but make sure to start with the sweet potato fries and feta dipping sauce first. Oh so good.
We slept in Saturday morning {for the first time in what seems like years!} and had a late late breakfast before the game. We found Mama’s Boy, a delish breakfast spot, well worth the short wait. I imagine it’s probably pretty crowded all the time. Lots of coffee, eggs, bacon, grits and homemade biscuits later, we headed back to the ballpark. Unfortunately the Bears lost game two, but the weather was beautiful, and other than the obnoxious Georgia fans sitting behind us, it was the perfect baseball day.
{blurry phone pic} A quick night away is the perfect amount of time away from the kids, and we were ready to see them by the time we got home! It’s so funny that having only Boland with us felt like such a break! Thanks Mimi, Papa and Alison for taking care of the bigger kiddos so we could cheer on the Bears and have a little time to ourselves!

Amy - I can't believe how much Watson is looking like Emory! What a beautiful family!
