Clearly blogging has not been my strength in 2011. I’ve finally gotten my act together and posted most of the new {which are now old} pictures from recently. While I made an honest effort to follow one of my 2011 goals, I’ve hereby aborted the Snapshots 365 project. I’ll admit I couldn’t keep up. Give me a little credit…I’ve at least been going to the gym regularly and I’m not pregnant. Two outta three isn’t all that bad, right?!?
Life with three babies is definitely chaos, but so much fun. Shortly after we found out we were pregnant last year we got a bigger car {and are filling every last inch of it already!}, and we’re now set to close on a new house in two weeks. Of course we haven’t yet sold our current home, so trying to keep the house in ‘showing shape’ has been a beast. I’ve tried to pack a little bit here and there, but it’s been impossible for the most part with little hands unpacking boxes twice as fast as I can get things in. Hopefully the magic moving fairy will make her way to my house and everything will miraculously become packed and moving ready. Fingers crossed.
In the chaos of the last six weeks or so, I’ve relied mostly on my phone to snap pictures so here are a few random ones that I thought were post worthy….
First up-we’re planning a wedding! Actually two {hurry hurry JT!}, but only one ‘officially’. Alex and Boo got engaged and we immediately headed to the bookstore {Emory in her jammies} for some wedding magazines to start planning the big day in January of 2012! {We also stopped by Yummilicious to get celebratory frozen yogurt on the way home.} Congrats Aunt Boo and Uncle Alex!
The last few weeks when I’ve picked Watson up from his class at school, his teachers have had him ready to go, with his bookbag on. The first few times he wobbled and eventually fell backward, but he’s gotten the hang of walking with his {big as he is} bookbag on. Too cute.
He’s also become a little obsessed with his cowboy boots. Daddy was away for the weekend {in Texas} so we thought it only fitting to send him a picture of his little cowboy back home. {Please ignore the scattered diapers, toys, and um, babies on the floor.}
We celebrated Valentine’s Day with a Valentine breakfast at home. Complete with hanging heart decorations, heart shaped pancakes, pink {strawberry} milk, pink {strawberry} yogurt and a few Valentine’s Day goodies. Emory had a party at school and on the board outside of their classroom they all posted what they loved. Her good friend Sydney moved back in November and so they got a new student in their class. Taylor is Emory’s ‘new friend’ and also joined Emory’s ballet class. Emory LOVES Taylor. Apparently more than she loves her family.
A random, but notable, milestone for my Baby Boy-shorts! Last summer he was still in diaper covers and bubbles, but this summer he’s moved onto big boy shorts. I was making a handful of shorts for him and tried these on to check the fit {so he won’t wear these over his onesies, promise!} and I couldn’t believe how old it made him look. I’m not ready for him to be ‘big boy’ yet, but I’m loving his new shorts. Complete with his red Keds {one sock on, one sock off, of course!}.
And now that I’m {mostly} caught up, I’ll try not to get so behind again. Make sure you read waaaaaaay down at all the new posts, because I would hate for you to miss this.
