The weather’s finally warming up enough for some pool time in the backyard! Post-swim, our little neighbor, Owen, came over to play for a while.
On the random occasion that we aren’t in a major rush to get to church on Sunday mornings, the kids {and Daddy} enjoy watching a movie before putting on church clothes. This week: Lion King. One of the few movies that both Emory and Watson can agree on.
And apparently wood-working googles are required for movie viewing.
Watson’s school portrait of mommy. I’m embarrassed. {Embarrassed of his view of me. Not his stellar artistic talent.}
Post-bath reading. In the buff, of course. The best way to do it.
Watson is officially at the age where I annoy the you-know-what out of him by taking his picture. For instance, this particular morning I asked him to hold still so I could take a picture and he replied with ‘Mommy, stoooooop! I dus wanna play wif my sword!’
And because I force him to smile and pose for pictures, I have to reward him with things he loves. Like helping pump gas. One of his most favorite things to do EVER!
After a dreadful hour and a half visit to FedEx Kinkos to get the Recital programs ordered {with all three kids in tow}, I found this picture on my phone. Apparently Emory felt the need to document it. Unfortunately I wasn’t exactly dressed {or showered even} for picture taking.
And while things are super busy with Recital preparations, I managed a few minutes to do some mindless sewing to give myself a break. Em’s school has a no trash policy at lunch, which means I have to send cloth napkins in her lunchbox. So in order to meet her request for ‘pretty girl’ napkins, I find myself buying cute kitchen towels, cutting them into a few pieces and hemming the edges. One $2.99 Target kitchen towel plus an hour of sewing and, ta-da, 8 small girly cloth napkins.
