While we celebrated a few days early with family, and were waiting a few more days to have a party with friends, we invited our next door neighbors over to play and for dinner to celebrate on Emory’s actual birthday. It worked out great, seeing as our neighbor Owen turned 4 the day before, and we could celebrate them both!
The kids decided against swimming in the pool and chose to slip-n-slide instead.
Zim loved lying in the middle…
But the big kids quickly {but kindly!} pushed him out of the way!
Even though Zim had no reservations about jumping right into the big kid mix…
Boland kept out of the way. With his snack, of course.
Our great neighbors have been one of the things we absolutely love about the neighborhood. Our stair-stepped kids {ages 5, 4, almost 3, almost 2, 18 months, newborn and due in October…for a total of almost 7!} play great together and its so nice to have built-in playmates right next door.
