After having such a great time last year, we signed Emory up for the Gamecock cheerleading camp again this summer. I was amazed at how much more they learned this year, being in the 5 year old group! Parents came on the last day to see them perform, and although she wasn’t the youngest this year, she’s still the smallest and it was difficult to see around the taller 4 year olds at first!
They got ready for their cheers… ‘Hands on hips. Smiles on lips!’
{Her ‘showing spirit’ after each cheer just consisted of her jumping straight up and down…}
{And giggling with Taylor!}
Then it was time for her group to do their dance, and she was most proud of getting to stunt this year! She was the flier…
And told me that she got a little nervous at first, then she was really brave when she was in the air!
Of course they threw in a little tumbling, which at this age was just a roll, but she was proud of it!
She, Rosie and Taylor had such a great time, and continued to be amazed that the real cheerleaders were their instructors.
She always requests a picture with daddy…
And they got a special visit from Cocky for doing so well!
Daddy was in charge of taking video while I took pictures, but for some reason I can’t get the video to upload in HD, so it’s pretty hard to see. Emory’s group in on the far right. {At times like this I’m always thankful I still make her wear a big ‘ole hair bow because she’s much easier to spot!}
