Friday I had my 12 week appointment.
Bad news: we had a little scare with the doctor not being able to find the baby's heartbeat with the "doppler" thingy. (That's when they use some little machine on your belly to hear the hearbeat.) Of course, with that being the exact way we found out we had lost our first pregnancy, I immediately freaked out. They sent me to ultrasound right away (which I wasn't due to have until 20-something weeks).
Good news: everything was more than fine and we got to see some pictures of the new addition! It seems he/she was simply "snuggling" behind the placenta, which kept the doctor from finding the heartbeat.
(Pardon the lovely quality of the photos, as I kept forgetting to scan the pictures and had to go old school by taking pictures of the pictures.)
