The time has come for the big transition from crib to big girl bed. No, not because Emory's ready, but because I refuse to have 2 cribs in my house. We've already moved everything into Emory's "big girl room", but she still sleeps in the crib in the nursery. (Which also explains why this looks like the most bland nursery ever...)
I was totally prepared for her to get *zero* sleep in her toddler bed for the first few nights, especially after having just gotten over the stomach bug. We changed the rail on Saturday morning and she napped just perfectly in it on Saturday afternoon. I thought, "well that was just beginner's luck", but, again, she slept wonderfully in her new bed all through the night! I think it helps that there's nothing in her room to tempt her to get out of the bed.

So far so good, so let's hope the next few nights go just as smooth! Next up, potty training. If I can't imagine the idea of having multiple cribs, you can guess my take on having multiple kids in diapers! However, I've been told I'm expecting too much out of an almost 2-year old in that department. We'll see!

What a big girl! You have way more guts than I do :o) I am so scared of putting her in a "big girl" bed!
