According to the plate. For her first birthday, Emory was given a sweet plate (made by the Moore kiddos) that reads "Emory is special today". The concept is to use the plate when we are celebrating both small and large milestones. I hadn't used it yet, but now seemed like a good time to start, since she's beginning to "recognize" things. She ate her breakfast (strawberries and a homemade cinnamon roll!) on her special plate to celebrate the move (successfully!) to her toddler bed.
Thus far, she hasn't had a problem sleeping in the bed. She did greet me at her bedroom door for the first time this morning, so I would assume she's now figured out how to get out of the bed on her own. Oh well. The outlets are all covered and her bedroom door stays shut. I don't think there's much harm that could be done in there. Way to go Em!
