My Big Girl Bed

We're slowly trying to get Em used to her new room, so that when Number Two comes, she won't flip out that the baby "stole" her room. After Christmas we moved all of her toys and clothes and "stuff" into the new room and she's been playing in there ever since. She's been sleeping in the nursery in her toddler bed still, but I've recently started trying(with not much success) to get that room ready for the baby. So Sunday afternoon Emory tried a nap for the first time in her big girl bed. She was a little confused and fussed for a second, so I laid down beside her (and promised she could watch "Beast" when she got up!) for a few minutes. After that she fell fast asleep and slept for almost 3 hours! Again, she was disoriented when she woke up so she cried a little, but for the most part it was a successful first step to moving her to her big bed! We'll continue to sleep at night in the toddler bed for a while, but hopefully she'll be good and situated in her new room come September. Way to go Baby Girl!
