Little David Robert Dupree arrived this afternoon at 3:52pm weighing in at a big 'ole 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measuring 21 inches long. He has a head full of dark hair and the most deliciously chubby little cheeks!
The new family was happy but exhausted after a long day...and Mary did it all without an epidural! You go girl! (But don't expect that outta me come September!)

I fully expected for him to look kinda "mocha", maybe "with an extra shot of espresso", but to everyone's surprise he's more of the "vanilla latte" look! It was funny to hear everyone say "he's white!" when we first saw him! :) But he's definitely got his momma's Latino, thick, dark hair!
We are so excited you're finally here, safe and sound, David Robert! We look forward to watching you grow...and letting you teach us Spanish! By the way...your Uncle Aaron has decided he's calling you "Doc". It's a little strange, I know. Hope you don't mind.

We stayed in Lansing on Woods On The New River Road. I've been to Tweetsie before but thought the girls would be too young to enjoy it. Maybe in another year or so.
