Home and Adjusting

"Every good and perfect gift is from above."
James 1:17
I never really understood the whole "adjusting to having a new baby" thing, as Emory was the easiest baby ever. She never cried, didn't care where she was sleeping, ate whenever I stopped to feed her and was just an all around easy going baby.

My interesting labor and delivery this time should have been a little foreshadowing of the work Baby Boy was gonna put me through. Not that he isn't the most precious thing ever, and not that I don't thank God each and every minute that he is here and healthy, but "easy going" definitely wouldn't describe him this first week. He LOVES to eat and wants to every 2 1/2 hours, with the exception of the time between about 11pm and 2am...when he wants to eat every.single.second...and cries nonstop if he's not! It's left this momma tired {and a little cranky}.

Thank goodness {for my sanity!} we turned the corner last night and Baby Boy slept 6 hours straight after his 10pm feeding! That extra sleep did wonders for Aaron and me and now I feel like I have a little energy to actually get some laundry and cleaning done today. And also get back to taking pictures and posting them. :)

Thanks for all of the prayers, well wishes, cards, gifts and visitors over the last week! We feel more than blessed with our new addition and with the wonderful family and friends we get to share him with.

I'm glad you're home and adjusting well, and I'm glad Watson slept well for you last night! Emory looks like she's loving her role as big sister, and you and Aaron are already champs as the parents of two!
