Only one more day until we force Number Two to make his or her big entrance!
For the past few days we've been trying to keep ourselves busy while we've waited.
On Friday, Em and I headed to lunch with some friends. As I parked at a meter on the street outside of the restaurant, I realized Emory had fallen asleep. I took her out of the car seat, proceeded to carry her {and my 40+ weeks pregnant self} across the busy intersection and it occurred to me {for the first time} that this would be impossible for me to do if I also had to carry a baby seat! Looks like that might have been our last lunch out for a while! So we made the best of it and stopped at the new bakery Cupcake while we were out as well. I'll be requesting those this week while I'm in the hospital for sure!
Saturday morning we set out to make the stepping stone that Mimi bought Emory for her birthday. I had high hopes for this cute little project, but it turns out she didn't exactly understand what we were doing and so it didn't turn out *perfect*, but cute nonetheless.
She helped Daddy stir the cement mixture.
Saturday night we had some friends over to watch the Carolina game. Emory and Callie did great at entertaining each other...mostly Emory just tried to copy everything Callie did, like crawling around all night instead of walking. :)
After a nice long nap, Aunt Boo and Alex picked Em up to go see Elmo! She had been telling people all morning that she was gonna see Elmo, but I wasn't sure if she would actually enjoy it or be scared to death. From what I hear, she was a little unsure at first, but quickly realized the characters weren't coming close to her and then she loved it! She ran in the back door when she came home shouting "I seed Elmo, Cookie Moster, Big Bir...."! Thanks Boo and Alex for giving Emory a little special attention right before her world is about to be turned upside down!!
Hard to believe last night was the last time we put her to bed as our one and only. I know the next few weeks may be a little difficult for her, but we cannot wait to begin life as a family of four!
If you have an extra second, please say a quick prayer that everything goes smoothly over the next few days as we leave our baby girl, welcome Number Two to the world and adjust to life with two kids.
We look forward to updating with our big news tomorrow!!!

Great Post! I can't believe tomororw is the big day! You'll do great and Emory will be the best big sister!! Good luck and I can't wait to hear what baby dupree is! :)
You just made me cry! I am so excited for what lies ahead in the coming days for your family. Of course, we will say extra prayers for you tonight, tomorrow, and all the days following. We love you!! Good luck--I think it's a boy :o)
We are so very excited here in Charleston and cannot wait to hear about the arrival! You, Aaron, Emory, and baby are all in our thoughts and prayers! Love to everyone!
Amy,
Congrats!!! How exciting that you get to meet your babe in the next few hours. If I wasn't going for a VBAC I'd TOTALLY ask to be induced (but it's too dangerous on the scarred uterus).
Anyway, I'd get a couple of the ACE bandages just so you get a good wrapping around ALL your core. The bandaging stays in place better if you've got more of it.
Blessings to you and a healthy and safe delivery!
Thank goodness you posted b/c I've been checking all the time to see if Number Two had arrived! Good luck tomorrow... Brett and I are thinking of you all! Can't wait to hear if its a boy or a girl :)
So sweet, Aim! Emory is going to be such a great big sister and will be loved in a whole new way! We'll say extra prayers for sure!
