Feliz Navidad!

We began our Christmas week by having dinner with friends. But not just any dinner.
We had the Helfers and the Grangers over for a mexican fiesta! We decided to forgo the traditional Christmas menu, and opted instead for mexican dip, guacamole, enchilladas, spanish rice and a tres leches cake...it was delicious and couldn't have been a better way to kick off our Christmas festivities.
The kids exchanged gifts-even Sweet Baby James!
Baby Girl was absolutely ecstatic to receive Hungry Hungry Hippos-the one thing she asked for from Santa! Mr. Justin and Callie played her in the first game.
After gifts we had dessert. One holiday tradition that Aaron's family had growing up was baking a birthday cake for Jesus. I wanted to carry that on with our kids. I ordered a nativity for the top of the cake, but it didn't arrive in time and so our cake was a little naked on top, but we made sure to sing Baby Jesus "Happy Birthday".
It is extra special celebrating holidays with special friends, and we definitely plan on making this dinner a Christmas tradition. We're already looking forward to next year's dinner-when we'll have at least one more new addition to the group!

Thank you Chollet, Justin, Erin, Vaughn and Callie for a wonderful fiesta!!

Feliz Navidad!
