The Christmas Tree

As is tradition on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, we joined my family to go get our Christmas trees. Halfway to the old Farmers Market, we realized it was closed and headed to the new Farmers Market.

Mostly everyone stood around freezing while a few people walked into the bunches of trees and picked them.IMG_5993

I love the day when the kids can finally start wearing their holiday clothing, and luckily Boland was given a teeny-tiny Christmas gown just his size.IMG_6003 Unfortunately it was too cold to get down and play, so everyone stayed bundled.IMG_5999 The trip was short, but as always, we got some beautiful trees to decorate!IMG_6001 And decorate my little princess did!Starred Photos329 When Daddy is finished putting the lights on the tree, she gets to hang the first ornament. This is the first year she’s been able to actually hang the ornament herself. Although she did try and hang it on the light strand instead of the limb! IMG_6011 And somehow this is always the ornament we pick to hang first. I have no idea where we got it, but Emory loves that it’s hers, and we always begin our tree decorate with it.IMG_6013 She helped to hang the first ornament, then stole all the ballerina ornaments out of the box and sat at the table playing instead of helping decorate.IMG_6014

The tree is up and decorated…let the holidays begin!
