It’s that time again. For me, recital season means logging lots of extra hours at the studio, eating take out and relying on lots of other people to watch my kids for me. It’s an exhausting time of year. But for Emory it means costumes, make-up, flowers and lots of play time at the theater and on the stage! I got to sneak in while her tap class tried on their costumes. All of the girls loved them! They enjoyed that the costume was ‘so sparkling’!
{Emory cannot NOT stand in this position when I am taking pictures. The girl loves to strike a pose!}
This year Emory has been taking three classes each week…ballet, tap and acrobatics…so she has three different recital dances and costumes. She loves loves loves going to dance, but at the beginning of the year, I was a little curious as to how she’d do when it came time to dance on stage. So far so good! She constantly practices her dances around the house and performs pretty well in class.
Regardless of how she does in the recital, she’s loved going to class each Wednesday and Thursday and making lots of new friends.
As I’ve always said, I will never force Emory to stay in dance classes if she doesn’t want to, but I absolutely love that she can’t get enough of it right now!
I cannot wait to see you dancing on that stage again, Baby Girl!
