Charlie’s Splish Splash First Birthday Bash

It’s hard to believe that sweet Baby Charlie is celebrating his first birthday already! {I think I say that when any little one we love turns one!} Although all first birthdays are special, this one felt a little extra special, as just over a year ago he had friends and family {and even a few strangers I’m sure} praying for his safe arrival into this world, six weeks before we had anticipated. Clearly our God is a good One and He knew Baby’s Charlie’s story all along. This sweet boy was born a chunky little preemie with few complications. And he’s been quite a joy to watch grow these past twelve months!

Lauren planned a wonderful party, and the kids and I arrived early to help her set up but she had done everything and it looked great!The cake pops were precious…and tasted even better!These girlies found their way to the treats before the party started. Sneaky sneaky!The kids enjoyed the pool…And the candy from the pinata…Then it was time to sing to the birthday boy. He took a few little tastes of icing, but didn’t seem to enjoy the feel of icing on his hands {or a hat on his head!}, but he photographed quite adorably nonetheless.Even a little icing required him to be sprayed down before he could redress in some cuddly jammies to open gifts.

We loved celebrating your first year with you, Baby Charlie, but even more so, we have enjoyed watching you grow into a healthy toddler these last twelve months! May God continue to bless you {and keep you, Watson and Boland out of trouble!}! We love you!
