Emory’s new school year means goodbye cute clothes. {sad}
She’ll be in a uniform for the next 14 years. I’ll miss dressing her in prissy little clothes {mostly because she hasn’t started to have much of an opinion about clothing quite yet}, but I am already excited about the ease of getting dressed each morning. She’s too tiny to fit into anything other than the jumper, so the extent of our clothing decisions are white knee socks or navy knee socks? When it’s hot out she wears her short sleeve blouse. When it’s cold she wears the long sleeve version. Little biker shorts underneath for PE day and a school issued navy sweater or fleece jacket for staying warm outside.
I’m a little crushed at the end of my girl-dressing days {unless we have a baby sister!}, but she is more than thrilled to have a dress like her Madeline doll, who came along to help us buy our uniforms. Our uniforms are washed, hung and ready for the first day of school!
