Happy Half Birthday Emory!

Emory got sick last night {the kind of sick that requires a midnight bath and a change of sheets. yuck.} and ran a slight fever most of today, so her half birthday celebration was low key. Nothing more than a birthday cake after dinner at Grandmamma and Granddaddy’s house.

She requested pink icing and pink candles. Like always, I make just half of a cake, since it is, after all, just a half birthday.IMG_7407   She found a little energy when it came time to light the {3 and a half} candles and sing.image   We sang {and she didn’t cry like she normally does!} and she tried to blow out the candles.image They were not trick candles, but were a little difficult to blow out, and it sent her into hysterics. We’ll blame it on not feeling well, but the truth is, she is just this dramatic all of the time.IMG_7418 After calming down, she finally decided to have a piece of cake, and of course Watson was standing by waiting on his. While putting her to bed I said, “Emory, you’re getting too big. Please don’t grow anymore.” She said, “But I will, mama, when I turn four!” and giggled like she knew it wasn’t what I wanted to hear!

It’s hard to believe that another half a year has flown by so quickly! I am a little sad that her fourth birthday is just around the corner, but like I’ve learned these past three and a half years, things keep getting more and more fun!

Happy Half-Birthday Baby Girl!
