Our Hospital Stay

We had a not-so-glamorous 3-day stay at the Children’s Hospital fighting RSV, and are very happy to now be home and on our way to healthy.IMG_7293Thankfully Boland didn’t have to be hooked up to anything more than a pulse/ox machine, so we were still able to hold and feed him, and he didn’t have to endure any extra poking or prodding. IMG_7275He had to sleep in the hospital crib, which was strange, since he hasn’t even slept in his crib at home yet, but the humming and beeping of all the machines seemed to allow him to sleep well.image   And in a matter of a week he has become attached to the giraffe lovey Mimi and Papa gave him for Christmas. Thankfully we remembered it, because it really did seem to offer a little comfort {he likes to clinch the knotted corner in his little fist} during breathing treatments, x-rays and having his vital signs checked non-stop.IMG_7283   We were finally allowed to head home, and other than needing breathing treatments for another week, our baby boy is healthy and happy! image Thanks for all the sweet prayers, calls, texts and emails!

{Is it strange that I took a camera to the hospital?}

Such a beautiful baby, (as are all your children) and it just breaks your heart when they are so small, and sick. So glad he is home, and getting stronger each day. God Bless, Boland!
