A splendid day is underway, indeed.
Emory slept in until 9:00.
Emory is heading to the lake a day early with Grandmama.
Mama is getting a (much needed) massage.
Daddy and Mama are having a date night.
One little bump in the road...
This is the same dress Miss Priss wore last year to the lake!
(Poor thing just doesn't want to grow.)
We eyed another dress she has to cut the fabric, stitched the sides, hemmed the top and bottom, fed some ribbon through the neckline and added a monogram.
Not the fanciest of work, but it'll do for Saturday. We celebrate the Fourth at the lake, and smocking is definitely not required at "the Shack".
To all of the men and women who have fought, who are currently fighting and who will oneday fight for our great nation...
We salute you.
It is in your honor that we sport our most fashionable red, white and blue attire (along with matching plastic bracelets, of course) and celebrate with family and friends this weekend!
