Of the 48 three year olds in the school Christmas Program, mine was the one and only who was crying! She has a horrible fear of performing in front of “other mommies and daddies”, and, even with a lot of practice, pep talks and bribery, she was terrified the entire performance and had to be moved to stand by her teacher {which still didn’t really help!}.
We apologize to all of our family that showed up for nothing! Even I kinda wished I hadn’t come. It was a little heart-wrenching to see my Baby Girl scared and not be able to comfort her. Not surprisingly, she was back to her old self as soon as she got back to her classroom, where it was time for the class Christmas party.
I was surprised that of all the little goodies the kids had on their plates, most went for their fruit first! And most asked me to take pictures of the their orange “teeth”! And then we had a second round of pictures of each classmate with their white lips after eating the doughnut snowmen Emory brought!
We wished each of her teachers and friends a very merry Christmas and look forward to seeing them after Christmas break!
