We had some plans fall through, so we decided last minute to head to see the Lights at the Zoo. We tried out the double stroller for the first time, and although it weighs a ton {to put in and out of the car} and is a pain to fold and unfold, Emory and Watson loved sitting side by side and keeping warm! It really was on the verge of being too cold to be outside, but they were bundled and had snacks, so they were happy…and mesmerized by the lights.
Boland stayed warm in his funny little elf outfit and the wrap.
Being all boy, Watson could only take sitting still for so long and had to get out and hitch a ride on Daddy’s shoulders.
We headed inside to the aquarium for a little warmth.
Emory and Daddy told Watson about all of the animals. He was in awe!
We took Emory to see the Nutcracker Ballet last week, so she was excited to dance for the nutcracker as we left the zoo!
Its nights like this that i’m so glad we bought a zoo membership. It was so cold that we didn’t stay terribly long, and we never had to worry about not getting our monies worth! With young kids, it’s nice to be able to make a lot of little short trips to the zoo instead of a few long ones!
