This may be the longest post ever. And a post that’s not about much other than the fact that I love being a mom to these boys. They each, on their own, melt my heart, but when they’re together….holy freakin’ cow. I just wanna eat ‘em for supper. They are the sweetest little men and two of the five best things that have ever happened to me. {sappy sappy. I know.}
Boland never ceases to be entertained by his big brother {and sister} and you can often see the joy on his face when they walk into a room. He’s started making a funny little face where he sucks his bottom lip and scrunches his tiny nose up. It irritates his poor chin…
…but always makes us laugh. I love that he has his signature faces already.
Watson is total paci addict. Rarely do ten minutes go by that he doesn’t ask for it. We’ve tried really hard to keep the paci and lovey in the crib for nap and nightime use only, but when he whimpers ‘pashi’ and bats his big brown eyes, I crumble under pressure.
And when someone takes the paci away for a quick picture, it turns his world upside down.
He giggles and buries his loot in the lovey under his chin.
As of late, we’ve been asking him to take the paci out when he talks so he’s been substituting his finger for the paci. Eww, gross. I’d just prefer the paci. We’ll keep on truckin’ but the paci battle will be a tough one I’m thinking.
Watson loves to give his brother kisses.
And his paci.
Pacis aren’t always the cutest, but well worth the silence it affords me.
One trick I’ve been using to get the paci out is to ask Watson to throw it to me. It always makes him smile, but then we have to play catch for another 20 minutes.
We finally traded a train for the paci. {It’s not usually that easy}I’m still getting over the fact that my 7month old is sitting up by himself, and now he’s already trying to crawl!
Before I know it, he’ll be rolling choos-choos around the living room with his big brother. {tear}
And teeth. Good Lord. Stop growing please.
He loves his paci, but he’s a lover of the lovey even more so.
It cracked me up to see their little legs positioned exactly opposite of each other. I’m bracing myself for the trouble these two are gonna cause in the future.
This time two years ago I had know idea what I was in for having one boy, much less two, but it has been one remarkable adventure.
Now please remind me of how much I love these boys when I’m pulling my hair out because I can’t keep them under control!!
