We haven’t had much time to squeeze in many summer field trips lately, but we were able to meet the Miles for a quick trip to Edventure, and even though I totally slacked when it came to taking pictures, we had a blast {as always} with our cousins.
I love how when I tell Em we’re going to play with her cousins, she likes to correct me by saying, “but dose are not my cousins, mama! dey are my friends!” We’re working on the concept of ‘extended family’, but at this point she thinks that you have to live at our house to be in her family. :)Boland and Charlie used to seem so far apart in age, but now they are sitting up and playing together! By Christmas they’ll be running around with Watson {causing trouble I’m sure!} celebrating their boyhood in a family of mostly women! The first seven great-grandchildren to be born on this side of the family were all girls. Babies eight, nine and ten {Watson, Charlie and Boland} have all been boys! Uncharted territory, but oh-so-fun!
If Sallie isn’t just the sweetest little babysitter of the boys…and they all love her to pieces.
Hannah and Emory tend to hang out, in all of their bossy, big sister glory.
Thanks girlies {and Charlie!} for hanging out with us for the afternoon! We just can’t seem to get enough of you!
