Goodbye Naptime.

Hello ‘Reading-Books-In-Your-Room’ time.

We’re morning the loss of Emory’s naps, but she’s been loving being a ‘big girl’ while the boys sleep.

Mostly she obeys and doesn’t get out of the bed until she hears one of her brothers wake up.But occasionally she flips through her books for about five minutes, then appears in the front of the house to tell me, ‘I done wif my rest mama!’.With a new school year approaching, we’re gearing up for needing to arrive an hour earlier than last year, so we've been pushing bedtime up an hour. Skipping her nap has been easing this transition.

I’m sad to be leaving the nap stage, but thankfully she appreciates a little quiet time each afternoon as much as I do.
