this week {from my phone}

Am I the last person to find out you can download some pretty nifty camera apps to make your phone pictures look tons better?!?!? Probably so, because I also just discovered {after having an iphone for two years} you should plug it up to your computer and update the software! Sheesh. I’m so behind the times.

And since I can’t seem to catch up on blogging my pictures from my real camera, here’s what we’ve been up to, via my phone’s camera.

I’m finally finding my way around the new kitchen and cooking up some yummy meals. Fresh herbs make them even yummier.We made this summers first batch of homemade ice cream! Some friends brought us a bag of fresh peaches and the few we didn’t devour while standing over the trash can with a paring knife became peach ice cream.We’ve recently gotten the boys on the same nap schedule {yay!!}, so when they wake up we’ve been having some bed crib parties in Boland’s crib.This sweet boy has been in need of a hair cut {his 3rd} for a while now, but I love his long, curly locks! I gave in to peer pressure and we’re scheduled for a choppin’ this afternoon.The fruits of our ice cream makin’ labor. Delish.I cringe when the littlest boy wakes up super early. {Actually I don’t cringe at all. I stay asleep and Aaron cringes, gets up, retrieves the babe and puts him between us in bed.} But after an early morning feeding we’re gifted an early morning nap, by which time I’m {usually} awake and get to watch this little angel as he sleeps.Hot weather + frozen yogurt + little friends = a happy afternoonAfter a long sewing hiatus, my supplies have found a home in the new house and I’ve been spending lots of nap times at the sewing machine. I’ve cranked out more little pairs of boys’ shorts than my kids could ever wear, so I’ve happily been working on some outfits for friends. Now that it’s summer and we lunch at home almost every day, it’s been hard to keep from getting bored of the same meal over and over. Luckily I happened upon these little party picks {on clearance!} at the store and they’ve brought a little life to our monotonous turkey and cheese roll-ups.
