We were in Camden for my cousin’s wedding and Emory and I arrived at the church a little early to help Aunt Boo with her hair. Emory totally jumped right in with the flower girls {being that she too was wearing a white dress and all} and I could tell she felt so ‘big girl’. The girls and I wandered around the church for a bit to occupy them until the wedding started. We played ‘photo shoot’ a little, because what little girl doesn’t like to be dressed up and strike a pose?!
It began to drizzle and so we ushered the girls back inside to stay dry. The rain stopped quickly and Emory wanted to go back out and play, so off we went. She’s very into posing for the camera. She has a handful of poses she thinks look great, so it’s quite the job to try and catch her between her poses and get a picture that’s a little more my taste. She also loves props of any sort. And the closer to her cheek they are, the better. Hence our slew of pictures with Barbies, cookies, chapstick, and flowers {just to name a few} glued to her face.
The sun came out bright for a second and she quickly covered her eyes. Obviously that wasn’t the goal for the picture, but I love how it captures her one-hand-painted-pink-and-one-hand-painted-green finger nails.
She made this silly face {accidentally, I think} for one picture…And when I showed it to her she thought it was hilarious so she tried to recreate it. She didn’t come very close but she surely cracked herself up!
We had a fun little time grabbing some pictures of our new four year old, and Emory will take all of the one-on-one attention from me she can get! It’s hard to believe that in less than 6 months she’ll be a real flower girl for the first time!
