{This post was originally titled ‘20 Weeks Pregnant’ . Then ‘24 Weeks Pregnant’. Then ‘28 Weeks Pregnant’. It has taken me approximately 10 weeks to scan these pictures into my computer.}
I’ll go ahead and let you know there will not be a belly picture in this post. Most likely, there will never be a belly picture. I tried it once before and cringe every time I look at it. I’d rather not remember what I look like pregnant, as I know what it feels like I look like, and that’s bad enough.
As someone who is notsomuch a fan of being pregnant, this pregnancy has been somewhat bearable!
I’m not sure if it’s due to the fact that I’ve stuck to a pretty regimented workout schedule {which I didn’t do with either of the others}, or if I’m too busy running after an almost 12 month old and chauffeuring a 3 year old around town to sit back and realize how much I my body hates being pregnant?? Either way, it {so far} hasn’t been all that bad!
A couple of months ago {at 20 weeks, 2 days} we had our 20 week ultrasound. It was great to see that Number Three is healthy and growing!
Up until the appointment, I was a little nervous about the fact that I hadn’t felt the baby move much at all. With Emory, I felt the first movement at 19 weeks. With Watson, I felt the first movement at 16 weeks. This go round, I thought I felt a little something at about 15 weeks, but not really anything since then. At the ultrasound that all changed! As soon as the little peanut’s picture showed up on the screen, it began to move around like CRAZY! So much so that the technician had to work extra hard to get a lot of the measurements. Since then, Number Three hasn’t stopped moving.
When the time came, we decided to turn our heads and not find out the baby’s sex. The surprise in waiting until the end with Baby Girl and Baby Boy proved very rewarding, and we’ve had a fun time playing the guessing game with Number Three. So far the pregnancy has been pretty close to my pregnancy with Watson, so my guess is ‘boy’. Having two boys just 14 months apart seems like it would be so much fun {and very convenient!} with them being able to share a room, toys, sports teams, etc. At the same time, Baby Girl is all about baby dolls right now and I think she would love to have a real-life doll to dress up and play with!
With the exception of my big switch from Diet Coke to Pepsi {I NEVER thought that would be possible!} and my new obsession with blueberries, I haven’t had too many weird food aversions or cravings. At 14 weeks, the nausea went away, and then I had about a month or so of feeling really really tired {which happened to coincide with the month we were too busy for me to get to the gym}, but otherwise I feel pretty good. I can feel the uncomfortable, third trimester, I-finally-see-a-light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel aches and pains in my very near future, but that is to be expected.
With only about 10 weeks until my due date we don’t have much on the to-do since we’re pretty prepared with both Girl and Boy stuff, but we have a few important things to tackle, like what in the world we’re gonna name this baby. Emory swears she’s having another brother and that his name is going to be Carson {which I am assuming is because the little boy in her class, Carson, is her new crush!}. She has very recently gotten to where she loves my belly. To rub it, kiss it, talk to it. It’s certainly very reassuring to know she’s excited about having another sibling and not already resenting it! She’s also very aware of the fact that my belly is rapidly growing, and has just started calling me “Fat Little Mommy”. I’m trying to laugh when she says it instead of cry, but it’s definitely hard!
We look forward to meeting this new little one and hope the next couple of months fly by!

You can always count on Emory to lighten the mood with something hilarious that comes out of her mouth!
Um, new crush? I have not heard this news.... and it's nice to hear the preggo update since, you often forget that you're even pregnant!
Aww! Such sweet pictures of sweet baby #3! Baby boy Thomas is already so excited to know he'll have a new friend/girlfriend so close in age! And I'm glad you're feeling good!
