Hope everyone enjoyed a nice relaxing weekend! Ours was anything but relaxing, as we set out to make A LOT of progress in preparation for Number Two. The hubby gets a big round of applause as he helped me check off much of my to-do list without a single complaint. Friday morning we were back at the doctor for my 37-week appointment. Shame on the person who coined the phrase "full term" to describe the 37th week of pregnancy. Yes, I feel full term, yet my doctors seem to think I should just hang out with this belly for another 3 weeks, at least. Makes no sense to me. I now present the first (and last!) belly picture. I keep wondering what I look like in comparison to Emory's pregnancy, and I have no idea, because I haven't a single "belly" picture of her.
Friday also marked a fun first for Em...her first trip to Leapin' Lizards! We met the Miles girls for a playdate, and although it took about 10 minutes for Emory to warm up, she was soon up and running with the others. Sliding (socks are required and of course we forgot ours, so we had to buy these beauties once we got there)...
Posing with Sallie...

Sliding (socks are required and of course we forgot ours, so we had to buy these beauties once we got there)...The nursery is no longer green, thanks to 3 coats of Crisp Linen. We painted a couple of hours Friday night (we used non-toxic paint, so no fussing at me, please), and then a few hours on Saturday morning. Aaron moved on to some painting that had to be done downstairs, while I worked on some sewing (crib bedding and going home outfits). We cleaned out the nursery closets and some downstairs closets, put away TONS of diapers, I packed away some maternity clothes and the den got a good scrubbin'. Saturday night we were exhausted to say the least, but SOOO much closer to being prepared for Number Two's arrival.
While Aaron and I continued cleaning, Emory made a little trip to the Horseshoe to see Aunt Jo on Bid Day.
As the sororities were yelling their cheers, Emory would yell right back!

Thanks Amy for that picture, my arm looks huge in it!!
Congrats!! I can't wait to see the nursery!
What a productive weekend, and what a CUTE belly! That SO makes me miss being pregnant! I'm sure it feels great to be crossing things off your list-great job! And congratulations to Jo!
Hi friend! Sounds like you are well on your way to being "ready." Doesn't that word suddenly have an entirely new meaning? Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help out. We would love to come see you for a couple days when Aaron's out of town!
BTW--I swear my belly is as big as yours already! Totally depressing...
