Aunt Boo and Uncle Alex just made it to the half-way point in their pregnancy, which means they found out whether we’ll be having a boy cousin or a girl cousin!
Boo wanted something other than the usual cutting of the cake or balloons in a box, so we headed over to my parents’ house to find a piñata in the backyard. The kids took turns at busting Nemo.
Even naked Boland. Although his hit was more of a tap.
Watson took another stab at it. {Don’t you love that we had to use a broom?}
And Emory did too.
Then Emory suddenly needed a potty break and we had to pause.
Baby Boy was getting fussy and wanted to be held. But being ‘held’ by Daddy…means flying these days!
For a second he hates it…
And then realizes he loves it!
With Emory back from her potty break, we decided to turn the bat {well…broom} over to Aunt Jo.
The kids were armed with ziplocs to catch the contents…
And scrambled to do so once poor Nemo was smashed. Along with the toys and candy…
The pinata was filled with puzzle pieces.
Some pieces were blue and some were pink. We started two different puzzles and rushed to see which had enough pieces to complete.
Initially we thought there were definitely more blue pieces. It’s a Boy! Then we started to think that the pink one was coming together quicker. Maybe it’s a Girl! Finally we figured out the pieces…
We’re excited to meet Baby Boy Kubas {whose name is not being revealed quite yet} come November!
