Only those of us that have lived through the first 9 months or so of having a baby can understand the thrill of receiving diapers as a gift. The excitement that once overtook me as I strolled around the grocery store with a big pack of Pampers in my cart has long disappeared. These days, running out of diapers has become equivalent to opening my calendar and realizing I have a dreaded dentist appointment that week. No fun.
All that to say how so-very-grateful I was to this friend and this friend for throwing me a very sweet diaper shower for Number Two this weekend!
The decorations were adorable...
The "animal"-themed diaper cake will go perfectly with the boy bedding!
(You know, if it's a boy.)
The food was fabulous. It was a Diapers and Desserts shower...does it get any better than that?!?
Guests made their gender predictions by picking either pink or blue Baby Dupree cards and wrote sweet notes to Number Two. I'm trying to keep myself from reading them until he or she arrives!

Baby Girl wanted in on the "pesent"-opening action.
Except it became a little difficult to hold a belly, a toddler and a present on my lap at the same time.
So Emory kicked me out of the chair.
I snagged it back when she discovered the tissue paper in the gift bags. Also notice her plethera of clothespins. She collected the most and won the game. (Thanks, Aunt Boo, for letting her win!)
Something blue!! There was also something pink in there as well, but I'm totally convinced this is going to be a boy, so I'm running with it.
Baby Jack joined us when he woke up from his nap. (I missed you, Callie!)
Grandmama and the aunts...what's Emory gonna do when she has to share their attention as well?!?!?
Thanks, girls, for a fabulous shower! Hard to believe it won't be long until we'll begin widdling away at this huge mound of diapers! Until then I'm off to find somewhere to store this great loot!

You look fantastic~such a beautiful "glowing" pregnant woman! Only a few more weeks until we know blue or pink. Wow!
We just need a baby NOW!!! Can't believe you are so close and can't wait to meet that sweet baby:)
We had so much fun getting ready for the shower! I love that we were able to use pink and blue, but I can't WAIT to find out what color Baby Dupree #2 will be wearing. My bet is pink! Either way, he/she is set with the diapers!
