Yook! Shoes On!

It's the little milestones that make the biggest difference...like finally being able to put her shoes on 100% by herself. Who cares if they are on the wrong feet?!? She was super proud of herself as she ran into the kitchen, lifted up her dress and shouted "Yook! Shoes on!" It seems most kids always prounce their y's as l's...as in "lellow" instead of "yellow". Emory seems to have the opposite problem - pronouncing her l's as y's. In addition to saying "yook", she often will turn to us and, putting her hand to her ear, will say "shhhh. Yisten. Monkeys!" And she'll continue to do this changing out the animal each time. Not so sure where she got that from, but it is highly entertaining!
