EdVenture’s Breakers & Broomsticks

Emory was invited to go with Sydney to the Halloween event, Breakers & Broomsticks, at EdVenture Children’s Museum. I think this may have been the first time she’s ever gone on a play date without me. I was sad I couldn’t tag along, but I knew she was in good hands, and Ms. Mia made sure to text me a few pictures while they were there.

Emory kept telling me Sydney was dressing up as a “flower girl” so I laughed a little when she came to pick her up and she was dressed as a “flapper girl”. :) Emory had no idea what that was, but loved Sydney’s costume because it was purple.

They had dinner, did crafts and trick-or-treated around the museum, but the big highlight of her night was that she got to chew gum! Sydney’s mommy is our pediatrician’s nurse so, although I’ve been telling Emory she had to wait until she was four to have gum, I figured if Ms. Mia lets Sydney chew gum, Emory can too! She had a piece on the way to EdVenture, then the girls were bribed to finally leave with another piece on the way home. She walked in smackin’ her gum like she was a too-cool-for-school teenager!2010_10_28_EdVenture Halloween Party Thanks, Sydney, for such a fun play date!

{And another chance to get good use out of our costume!}
