Pumpkin Patch Picnic Playdate

Second annual!

There’s something about adding “annual” to any event that makes me giddy. I love the fact that my children will {hopefully} look forward to special traditions during each of the seasons as they grow up. And not all of them need be fancy or elaborate. Things as simple as a picnic with friends at the pumpkin patch make wonderful memories!

Baby Girl is of the age where she can now remember this time last year, and has been able to for a few months. When I told her we were going back to the pumpkin patch for a picnic like last year, she was beyond excited and asked if all of her friends would be there again. Unfortunately Baby Chloe’s arrival kept Ms. Erin and Callie home, and Ms. Mary, Elizabeth, David and Anderson weren’t able to make it this year either. But we had lots of fun with Ms. Michelle and Jack!Starred Photos275Starred Photos274Jack officially reached “big boy” status in Emory’s eyes and she was all too excited to have someone to run around with and chase after. Not to mention, she loved having someone that did as told when she said “Come here. Sit on ‘dis punkin beside me!”  Baby Boy doesn’t abide nearly as well!IMG_2200Baby Boy was being quite the trooper, as he was well beyond his nap time while we were there.Starred Photos272Emory and Jack looked for the perfect little pumpkins. About five minutes later, I realized my sweet, never does anything wrong, Baby Girl was throwing all of her mini pumpkins in a shrub {while the lady working at the pumpkin patch was looking at me as if I had no control over my child}. IMG_2226Sometimes Emory takes a little while to warm up to people. But when she does, you better watch out. Jack- I think you may be the new crush for Baby Girl!Starred Photos273{And, yes, we totally understand if that makes you want to run and hide!}IMG_2261Emory, Jack and Watson were worn out after a fun playdate at the pumpkin patch so we loaded up and headed home. Starred Photos276  But not without getting goodbye hugs.

{This may be the funniest picture I’ve seen in a while. Love it.}IMG_2220      Ms. Michelle and Jack- we had a blast and can’t wait to continue the tradition in the coming years!IMG_2252  And thanks, Michelle, for the wonderful pictures! Having a hurt back has really impeded my pictures taking abilities! I’m so glad I know I can still count on things being documented when you’re around!

We had such a great time, too-we love our little tradition! Next year, Chloe, Baby Dupree, and Baby Thomas may be practicing their first steps at the Pumpkin Patch! It's so fun to see our babies play together! And I laugh every. time. I look at that pictures of Watson and Jack!

Can't wait until next year when we'll have three new additions! So sad we missed this year, but already looking forward to next!
