After naps, Aunt Boo and Alex picked the kids up to carve a pumpkin at Grandmama and Granddaddy’s house.
Lately Emory has been telling me she “only likes pumpkins, not jack-o-laterns”, so I was wondering how much she would enjoy the pumpkin carving.
Starting with the plain ‘ole pumpkin. And snacks. And cowboy boots. The necessities. Alex and Emory draw some ideas and then draw the face on the pumpkin.
Baby Boy got sent back inside with Granddaddy…probably looking for more food!
Check out that stance! Baby girl has a little attitude!
Baby Boy made his way back outside just in time to take off the pumpkin’s 'hat’!
Emory takes a stab at cleaning out the pumpkin seeds…
but then steps back and leaves the dirty work to the boys!
{Can you tell she put her boots on herself?}
He’s enjoying the mess!
When Aaron and I arrived, they were putting the finished jack-o-latern on the front porch.
Emory was scared of the candle, but Watson wanted to pick it up!
Emory felt a little drizzle so she wanted to finish up and head back inside.
We snapped a quick family picture first…which may likely be our last as a family of four!
Thanks, Boo and Alex, for treating Baby Girl and Baby Boy to a fun afternoon…and for taking pictures of it all for me!
