Lazy Summer Sunday

We had a fun and relaxing Sunday afternoon! After church, we swung by Publix to pick up subs for lunch, then headed to the pool with the Helfers. The weather was beyond sweltering so we couldn’t have been more appreciative of a nice afternoon in the water.

Baby James enjoyed hanging out in front of the fans. Watson enjoyed his float for a few minutes, then wanted out to swim around with Daddy. James woke up and took his first dip in the pool. He wasn’t too excited!He finally got used to the pool and realized it was fun to hang out with the guys! These two daddies grew up swimming in this very same pool each summer. Hard to believe they are now bringing their boys to swim together!Emory was in heaven playing with all of the pool toys. She swam with Aaron and I, and even showed us how she could swim under the water to the wall!  The highlight of her day, however, was following a small tree frog that was hopping around the pool. :) Baby Boy took a break from swimming to practice his standing skills. He means business with those chunky thighs! Way to go buddy!Even Lynyrd joined us in the pool. Yes, he needed a break from the heat, too, but mostly he was in the water so he could get away from Emory!  Don’t let this sweet face fool you…she’s a terror when she wants to be!  Thanks, Baby James, for letting us spend the afternoon with you and celebrate your first dip in the pool!!
