While we were down at the beach we squeezed in a little field trip to the movie theaters to see… Or “Three Toy Stories!” as Emory calls it.
We have been anticipating the arrival of this movie for a while now. We’ve watched the heck out of Toy Story and Toy Story 2, and had the opening day marked on our calendars for far too long! Armed with Sour Patch Kids, we {Emory, Olivia, Aaron and I} headed into the theater. The movie did not disappoint! Warning: You may even find yourself tearing up at the sight of once-loved toys getting boxed up and given away. You may also vow, then and there, to keep every. single. toy. your child has ever owned. Lord forbid Emory’s Douglas ever feel he isn’t loved anymore!!! {Don’t worry- the feeling wears off as soon as you get back home and have to pick up all of those little pieces of junk for the 84th time that day.}
Emory’s favorite characters continue to be the aliens {or the Little Green Men}. But she has quite a little crush on Buzz Lifeyear too. She has stood at one end of the bed and shouted “To infinite and beyond!” before jumping to the other end countless times. She picked out some Toy Story fruit snacks at the grocery store and has to name each character before she tosses them into her mouth. “Das Woody da cowboy! Das Tato Head! Das Buzz Lifeyear! Mommy, I need a alien fruit snack too!”
Needless to say we all loved the movie and highly recommend you venture to the theaters and see it this summer! {We skipped the 3D version since we didn’t think Emory would like wearing those silly glasses, but there were a handful of parts that we could tell would have been awesome in 3D!!}

Gracie is dying to see the Toy Towy Thwee! I think we're going to go when we get back from the beach. She used to be in LOVE with Buzz but has recently taken to Jessie...such a cute little cowgirl :o)
